    Welcome back guys! today we will be learning about the Battle of the Mons. This battle was at the begining of ww1 and was fought with british, french, and german soldiers. Mons was a large canal that was around france and belgium. The british soon defended that position from the germans that were advancing into france. When the forces met at the canal, the battle began. for a long time the british held but after a while they knew they could not win the battle.they had some men work as the rear guard so that the rest of them could retreat deeper into france. 5 people won victoria cross's for showing courage and valor in the face of battle.       Hi again! sorry I have not posted much but today we are going to learn about the battle of Jutland. So this battle was the only major naval clash WW1. So the British empire had a huge navy and ruled the sea but the German empire wanted that title and was trying to either produce more ships than them or to destory the Royal navy completly. The germans sent two forces to contact and destory the royal navy but what they did not know was that the British knew all about the plan and so the split there forces and contact there forces and as the battle went on it turned out to be a draw. The british lost more ships but the Germans retreated and both declared victory. Thank you for reading and read my other posts.
